It is with great sadness that we announce that Basilio Saleri, Chairman and CEO of our Group, passed away in its 68^th year, yesterday night.
We want to highlight the words he addressed to us last June during the celebration of Saleri Group’s 80^th anniversary. We will forever keep his memory and with that his example of strength, kindness and humanity: “This is an opportunity for me to thank all of you and all the people who have been there during these 80 years. Since 1942, we have come a long way. There has been good times, but also adversities that we have overcome thanks to the tenacity, commitment and strong will that you all have always shown, which is the real strength of our Group.”
